What do the new restrictions mean for your appointments at NCO?
In a nutshell, we are OPEN, but it’s NOT business as usual.
Until the 13th of September 2020, management of your condition will look a little different.

DHHS Guidelines – why we’ve had to change the way we practice.
Based on recent Dept. of Health and Human Services advice, NCO is required to close for routine, non-urgent face-to-face appointments for the duration of the Stage 4 lockdown.
Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne are about limiting the amount of movement in the community to help slow the spread of COVID-19 – we are in this together.
We can however continue to provide Osteopathic services for patients who require URGENT CARE
Face to face treatment must only be provided if delay of this care would result in your condition deteriorating to needing urgent medical care such as a visit to your GP, specialist or hospitalisation.
You do NOT need a referral from a GP to see us. However, your Osteopath will screen you prior to your appointment to determine whether your condition requires urgent care, or whether it can wait until we are out of stage 4 restrictions. We have temporarily turned off our online booking ability for face-to-face treatments.
If you have already obtained a referral letter from your GP please bring it to your appointment for us to make a copy – this will assist in your ability to access treatment.

All patients will be asked screening questions to ascertain the best way forward.
Unfortunately we are only able to offer hands on treatment to urgent cases.

Booking a Telehealth appointment to plan management of your pain during lockdown
Clarifying urgency of treatment
