Millie’s experience with osteopathy has facilitated an understanding that a combination of hands on techniques and an exercise rehabilitation approach can help facilitate the body’s ability to heal itself. Millie grew up playing netball and tennis but has more recently rediscovered her love for running. Millie participated in her first half marathon last year and is ready to tackle more.
Millie’s extensive background in sport sparked her interest in treating sporting injuries as well as headaches, postural and lower back issues. Importantly, Millie loves being a osteopath because she gets to help and meet people.
Millie gained some invaluable experience at a multidisciplinary clinic in Canada and was exposed to a variety of osteopathic approaches such as functional, visceral and structural techniques.
Millie graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT University. Since completing her degree, Millie has developed an interest in pilates and wishes to become a pilates instructor. She believes this form of exercise can be beneficial in combination with osteopathy.
Millie has spent many summers along the Great Ocean Road in particular Port Fairy and loves spending time in the outdoors whether it be hiking, running or swimming at the beach. If you happen to see Millie at the beach, she is most likely running around with the family border collie, Billy.
