Michael’s interest in osteopathy dates back to his teens under the mentorship of his uncle who runs a successful osteopathic clinic of his own. Michael gained insight from a young age that helping others through osteopathy improves the life of not only the patient, but that of the osteopath as well.
Michael utilises a holistic approach to the treatment and management of his clients. Such an approach stems beyond hands on techniques, and is centred around understanding his clients pain, lifestyle and goals. Michael has been able to successfully translate his approach from young children to the elderly.
Michael’s osteopathic approach to patient management centres on the needs of his client. Michael’s strong sporting background, growing up playing football at an elite level, has reinforced the importance of treatment and management specific to the needs of the client. Along with treating sporting injuries, Michael holds an extensive background in the treatment of headaches as well as postural and back complaints.
Michael enjoys managing athletes of all levels, from high level sportsmen and women to the weekend warrior having fun in the backyard. Michael takes a keen interest in not only helping patients through hands on techniques and exercise rehabilitation. Michael finds motivation behind identifying the cause of his clients pain and looking at further injury prevention.
Michael graduated as a Chancellor Scholar with a Bachelor of Health Science (Osteopathy) and Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) with distinction from Victoria University.
Michael is a keen traveler who is always open to suggestions for his next great adventure. From local trips up the coast, to travelling Europe and Asia, Michael values experiencing and learning about different cultures, all the whilst being active outdoors.
You can find him out and about in the early morning getting his daily dose of exercise, or taking his dog Charlie for a run down the park.
